Buy a Wench for a Bride!
 

During this pirate invasion (market), as the many shops in the area and visiting vendors have been plundered (volunteered to participate), many wenches (ladies) have been kidnapped (asked to volunteer) and will be lead in irons (asked to line up nicely) to the auction dock. There, the scoundrel (gentleman) James Scarlett will auction off each of these lovely women to the highest bidder.  (Value of bids to be determined on what James needs for his ship.)

Important Things to Know: This is NOT a slave auction. This is NOT a sex slave auction.  This is NOT an auction that puts the women into a position, explicit or implied, where they have to do anything physical with the winning bidder. It is NOT the intention of the mundanes nor their IC personas that anyone be forced to marry someone else, either.   This "Wench for a Bride" auction is something that fits into the scenario of behaving as a "pirate character" in all of the cartoonish and over the top ways a non-pirate character might think a pirate behaves.

We are opening our call to all female volunteers to ask to be put on the block.  It is our intent that when someone is "won" that there is a situation created where players who might not have a good IC reason to otherwise interact, get the chance to play at least once together.  For transparency sake, the follow up RP can even be hosted at the Lighthouse Inn. There, James (or his mun) can play the role of wait staff so as the other players do not have to fabricate a setting or feel forced to do anything more than interact.

Since there will be a large variety of people coming to the Invasion! it is the prerogative of the vendors as to how purchases of non-QCC characters are handled.  For the Auction, James will be accepting "non traditional" bids in the name of fairness and fun.  Someone very well could be won in exchange for a dozen eggs, a wheel of cheese and a bag of grain, which is more valuable than 200 Q, if James is looking to replenish stock for his ship.
