| Ye come seekin’ adventure and salty old pirates, aye? Sure you've come to the proper place. But keep ye weather eye open, mates - and hold fast. There be squalls ahead, and Davy Jones waiting for them what don't keep to the code. Them that escape a date down in the deep blue, be waking up wi’ a headache and press ‘ta service aboard some forsaken tub, so’s best ta wrap yerself in the togs an’ slops of a seafarin’ cur. Don up in yer canvas doublet and breeches, Monmouth caps, waistcoats and drawers, yer stockings, yer linen shirts an’ shoes. Do yer damndest to pass for a pirate lest ye be servin at the mast of some hellbound lugger. |
| Going on Account and Dabbling in the Sweet Trade
Anyone with the will to forego a bath, stop shaving (this goes for
ladies AND gents), ignore oral hygiene and dress in clothes stolen out
of a church donation box can "dress like a pirate." During this
"Invasion" all guests to Stone Cross are asked to come dressed as their
character believes a pirate dresses. But also, we want you to *behave*
like a pirate. Use your imagination, and keep the words FUN and ROWDY in
mind. There will be a judging through the night for the guest who has
the best "pirattitude" in not only clothing but in their overall
performance. Use any of the online pirate dictionaries and the pirate
translators. We will have a men and women winner and runner up.
Those who win will be given
prizes. The Men's winner will get an assortment of gifts befitting a man
of fortune. A pewter tankard, a tricorn hat, a powder carrier, a
boarding axe, and a cutlass. The runner up gets a red dress coat,
befitting a gentleman.
Where there are Pirates, there are
Wenches...
There would be no pirates without a SAUCY
WENCH tempting him. So kick up your heels, show a little leg and tempt
him with that coy smile. Dress like a wench, but also behave like a
wench, use your imagination, and remember the words FUN and ROWDY.
There will be a judging through the night for the guest that has the
best "wenching" attitude, not only in clothes but in performance. Prizes
will be given out for the Best Wench and the Runner Up. The women can
dress like pirates, and the is nothing saying a man can not dress like a
wench
